Follow Seth Godin? You may need PoP Circle

Seth Godin wrote fourteen points on how to write a personal email (http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2009/01/how-to-send-a-p.html). Point number eight reads,

"Don't send an email only when you really need something. That's not personal, that's selfish."

Absolutely correct Seth! I feel the same way, as I am sure many of you do as well. However, to implement this point, you must learn the skill to stay in touch with people you are not really used to contacting. That is where PoP Circle (http://www.mypopcircle.com) comes in. Keep a network of contacts warm so when you need their help, they more willing to assist you. As soon as you meet someone you may want to contact later on, immediately add them to your circle and contact them as the site suggests. That way you will keep your promise to 'stay in touch' and they will be more receptive to help you out when you ask.
