College Application Software Sucks

diwant's picture

I read Smart Computing's article on college application software, and I bawked at the age of words used to describe the things you can do with college application software. Diskette. DOS (plus an explanation of DOS). If you are trying to get high school students to apply on software that is so old, it ain't going to work.

Largely college application software aims at the high school administration, which will buy the software for the students. See Virtual Paragon's college application software as an example. I think it is unfair to the students to be given a software that was made to sell to people from before the iPhone generation. (The iPhone generation is very young. Even I am from before the iPhone generation).
